We got the news today that our court date has been finalized. We will become parents on June 8th. We will arrive in Moscow June 4th and return on or about June 17th... in time for Matt to celebrate being a dad (with son in tow) for the first time on Father's Day.

Congratulations, Julie & Matt! Admittedly, the news is slightly bittersweet for me as I had hoped to be with you on this trip. But, despite my disappointment, I'm incredibly joyful about Slava coming home. He's a wonderful kid and I can't to see him again! (Our other 3 boys, too!)

We are also adopting from Russia, but haven't started the paperchase yet. We are interested in adopting two older children, so your experiences with Slava are very interesting to me. I'll be checking back often!
